GST Return Due Dates: A Month-by-Month Compliance Calendar

GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, CMP-08, GSTR-9 — keep every GST deadline on your radar with this practical calendar.

Missing a GST due date is the most common — and most avoidable — cause of late fees and interest. Here is how the regular monthly cycle works for most taxpayers.

Monthly filers

GSTR-1 (outward supplies) is generally due by the 11th of the following month, and GSTR-3B (summary return with tax payment) by the 20th. Taxpayers under the QRMP scheme file quarterly with monthly tax payment through PMT-06.

Composition taxpayers

Composition dealers pay tax quarterly through CMP-08 (by the 18th of the month following the quarter) and file an annual return in GSTR-4.

Annual returns

GSTR-9 (annual return) and GSTR-9C (reconciliation statement, where applicable) are typically due by 31st December following the financial year.

Due dates change through notifications. Before relying on any date, verify the latest position or simply leave your filing calendar to us — that is exactly what our GST Compliance Management service covers.
